Venice seems more astounding and beautiful than ever...even the tourists and the trinkets they buy are a welcome part of the scene. A favorite sidetrip is to the island of Burano - about a 30 minute "ferry" ride.

NOT ZIPPED UP COLORS - THESE ARE AUTHENTIC
KNOWN FOR THEIR LACEMAKING - FROM THEIR EXPERIENCE REPAIRING FISHING NETS - BUT TODAY IT IS MOSTLY FROM CHINA
I remember Barano, Murano, and the 3rd island that Brett and I visited a long time ago. The colors were great. Isn't one of the island known for blown glass? Wow, I can't wait to visit Venice again and go on an eating spree...though Brett is not much of a fish person...he does do shrimp though...
